The Angels Run for Hope 5K “You’re Not Alone” Breast Cancer Awareness Walk/Run takes place Sunday, Oct. 4, at Wellington’s Village Park, 11700 Pierson Road. The race begins at 7 a.m., and activities continue until 11 a.m.
The 5K brings together survivors, people undergoing treatment, families and community supporters to raise awareness, honor those affected by breast cancer and remember those who died from the disease.
People may run or walk the course while showing support for specific individuals or the wider breast cancer community. The morning will include music, vendors, wellness resources, and moments of tribute and celebration.
Proceeds will help people cover medical expenses and receive support during breast cancer treatment and recovery.
The top three male and female finishers will receive awards. The registration fee is $45, and online registration is open. Registration also will be available from 5:30 to 6:30 a.m. on race day.
Participants are encouraged to wear pink. Dogs will not be permitted on the park grounds during the event.
