The City of West Palm Beach continues to commemorate three decades of music, community and culture with Clematis by Night, the city’s signature outdoor concert series, each Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Centennial Square and the Great Lawn, 100 N. Clematis St. in downtown West Palm Beach.
Launched June 8, 1995, as a small gathering outside the city’s former public library, Clematis by Night has grown into a nationally recognized event. The series was named one of USA Today’s Top 3 Outdoor Concert Series in 2024.
The schedule for August:
Aug. 7, The Holidazed (reggae, rock) — Known for a fusion of reggae, rock and funk, this band promises to transform the Great Lawn into a tropical escape. A high-energy sound and laid-back vibe invite audiences to embrace the spirit of summer and unwind with beach-inspired beats.
Aug. 14, Poor Life Decisions (rock) — Fronted by guitarist and vocalist Justin Enco, this South Florida cover band brings originality and charisma to every performance. Enco’s musical journey began with an open mic night and has included performances at more than 2,500 shows.
Aug. 21, CoverUp (pop, punk, alternative) — Blending punk, pop and ’80s hair band classics, CoverUp delivers an engaging, high-octane performance led by vocalist Larry Demers.
Aug. 28, “Wastin’ Away on the Waterfront,” a Jimmy Buffett tribute by Parrot Head Party — The summer series wraps up with a tribute to singer-songwriter Buffett. Led by Greg Pitts, who has performed Buffett’s music for over 20 years, the Parrot Head Party captures the essence of island escapism with beloved hits such as “Margaritaville” and “Cheeseburger in Paradise.”
