Cultural Council's Artist Marketplace returns July 30 with local art, live music and handmade goods

Following a successful debut earlier this month, the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County will once again transform its galleries into a vibrant community marketplace when the Artist Marketplace returns on Thursday, July 30.

The free event, scheduled from 3 to 8 p.m., will showcase the work of 15 Palm Beach County artists and makers, offering visitors the opportunity to shop for original artwork and handcrafted items while meeting the local creatives behind them. Guests can also enjoy live acoustic music, food from a local vendor and opportunities to connect with Cultural Council staff and members of Artists of Palm Beach County.

Featured artists will present a diverse selection of original works spanning multiple mediums, including paintings, jewelry, ceramics, marble sculpture, mixed media, handmade bags, sewn accessories, paper art and mosaics.

Participating artists include Cherie Blickenstaff, Lyudmyla Bogova, Alene Egol, Isabel Gouveia, Nestor Guzman, Leigh Ann Hoey, Itzet Marquez, Rose Gong Monier, Valentina Morales, Kristen Myers, Mayling Pao, Paper Owl Artists, Lori Royce, Jane McCartney Sorge and Sofia Vidal.

Live entertainment will be provided by Dakota Dawkins, whose laid-back acoustic performance will accompany the evening's festivities. Earl's Slow & Low BBQ will also be on site serving food available for purchase.

In addition to shopping, visitors will have the opportunity to speak directly with participating artists about their work and creative processes while exploring the Cultural Council's galleries.

The Artist Marketplace is free and open to the public, although advance RSVP registration is requested.

The event will be held at the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, located at 601 Lake Ave. in Lake Worth Beach.
