For years, therapies like cryotherapy, infrared saunas and IV nutrient therapy have been viewed as niche wellness services. Degree Wellness in Wellington aims to make the benefits of those science-backed therapies more accessible to everyone.

Degree brings a variety of wellness and recovery services together under one roof at The Square at Lotis Wellington, giving residents one place to recharge, reduce stress and support overall well-being. The business celebrated its grand opening Saturday, July 11.

“We thought Wellington would be the perfect community,” says Bill Adams, who owns Degree Wellness with his wife, Lauren. “It’s such a family-oriented and health-oriented community.”

They opened Degree Wellness after years of incorporating many of the therapies into their own wellness routines. When they discovered a concept that brought multiple services together in one location, they wanted to bring it to South Florida.

Degree Wellness offers therapies including infrared saunas, cold plunges, full-body cryotherapy, red-light therapy, oxygen therapy, compression massage, LED light facials, IV nutrient therapy and NAD+ therapy. People can combine services to meet their individual wellness goals.

Lauren Adams says wellness looks different for everyone. “For some people it’s not about recovery,” she says. “It’s about better sleep, mental clarity, improving your mood or detoxing.”

Contrast therapy, which pairs an infrared sauna with a cold plunge, has become one of the studio’s most popular services. Bill Adams says many first-time visitors are surprised by how quickly they embrace the experience.

“People think they’re only going to last 30 seconds,” he says. “Then they come out feeling energized and proud that they accomplished something they didn’t think they could do.”

He says the goal is to make wellness feel approachable rather than intimidating.

“These are all wellness services that have been kind of exclusive and boutique before. Now everyone can actually get all the benefits from all of these things.”

While many clients are athletes and fitness enthusiasts, Bill Adams says people of all ages visit for everything from post-workout recovery to stress relief and better sleep. Private suites, streaming televisions and spalike amenities are designed to create a relaxing, comfortable experience.

Degree Wellness offers monthly memberships as well as individual visits. People can choose any service for $25 during their first visit.
