Okeeheelee Nature Center is holding a free Earth Day celebration Saturday, April 20, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All ages are invited to participate in an array of activities, aiming to educate and motivate attendees about the importance of conservation and well-being in the community.

The festivities feature live animal encounters, eco-friendly crafts and educational presentations. The highlights include guided nature walks, a rehabilitated animal release, the opportunity to meet nature center mascot Oakly and a performance by the PBSO Mounted Unit.

Admission is free, but raffles will support the event sponsor, the nonprofit Friends of Okeeheelee Nature Center. Food trucks and vendors offering sustainable goods will be on site.

Okeeheelee Nature Center is in Okeeheelee Park at 7715 Forest Hill Blvd. and is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department. For more information, visit www.pbcnature.com.
