Fright Nights, South Florida’s longtime Halloween attraction, returns to the South Florida Fairgrounds in West Palm Beach for four weekends, Oct. 8 to 10, 15 to 17, 22 to 24 and 29 to 30.

The event will be open Thursdays from 6 to 11 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 6 p.m. to midnight. The haunted houses themselves open at 7 each night. The attraction is at the fairgrounds at 9067 Southern Blvd., offering acres of scares and ample on-site parking.

Now in its third decade, Fright Nights has built its reputation on reinventing itself each season rather than repeating the same haunts year after year. Past editions have sent guests through flesh-eating zombie outbreaks, twisted carnivals, haunted prisons, evil-clown-infested midways, haunted hotels, ghostly graveyards, insane asylums, corn mazes, haunted hayrides and hillbilly horror scenes, among other themes.

The event is presented by the South Florida Fair & Palm Beach County Expositions Inc. and is a member of the national Haunted Attraction Association.

Beyond the haunted houses, Fright Nights typically features several attractions running at once, including carnival rides, midway games, food and drink vendors, and entertainment from bands, DJs and dancers. The attraction is not recommended for children under 12.

Tickets are $38.50 until Oct. 7, then rise to $48.50.

Additional details are available at the South Florida Fair website.
