Halfway to Christmas Craft Fair returns to South Florida Fairgrounds

Holiday cheer is coming early to Palm Beach County as the Halfway to Christmas Craft Fair returns to the South Florida Fairgrounds for a festive weekend celebrating local artisans, handcrafted gifts and the spirit of the season.

The annual event will take place Saturday, July 11, and Sunday, July 12, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Shiner Law Group Expo Center West at the South Florida Fairgrounds.

Designed to bring a touch of the holidays to the middle of summer, the family-friendly event invites shoppers to browse a wide selection of handcrafted goods while supporting local artists, crafters and small businesses.

Organizers say the fair is also an opportunity to get a head start on holiday shopping in the comfort of an air-conditioned venue.

Guests can expect a festive atmosphere complete with holiday decorations, inflatable displays, occasional artificial snow flurries and seasonal music.

More than just a shopping event, the craft fair will feature a diverse array of vendors offering handmade jewelry, clothing, baked goods, artwork, soaps, candles, Christmas décor and other unique gifts. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase.

Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will make special appearances both days from noon to 2 p.m., giving families an opportunity to take photos with the holiday couple before they return to the North Pole.

In addition, shoppers can participate in hourly door prize drawings held throughout each day of the event.

Admission is $7, while children ages 10 and younger are admitted free.
