Philanthropists Julie and John Kime will receive the 2026 Legacy of Giving Award at Nonprofits First’s 10th annual Hats Off Nonprofit Awards, recognizing their longtime support of education, youth development and community organizations throughout Palm Beach County.
The ceremony will take place Thursday, Oct. 15, at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts’ Cohen Pavilion in West Palm Beach.
The Hats Off Nonprofit Awards recognize nonprofit organizations, volunteers, philanthropists and community leaders for their contributions to Palm Beach County. The Legacy of Giving Award honors those who have demonstrated significant generosity and a long-term commitment to philanthropy and community service.
The Kimes have supported a range of educational and community initiatives throughout the county, including scholarships, academic programs, student resources and youth organizations.
They have been longtime supporters of Palm Beach State College, where their contributions have funded scholarships, programs and campus initiatives. In 2026, the college named its new Dental and Health Innovation Building in honor of the Kimes. The college is also home to the Julie and John Kime Library Learning Resource Center, which provides academic resources and services for students.
Julie Kime has supported educational opportunities through initiatives including the Julie Kime Hispanic Women Scholarship, which assists students pursuing academic and professional goals.
Her community involvement also includes service as a board member and supporter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. She is a founding member of the Central Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce and has received several honors for her philanthropic and community leadership.
