The lighthouse was built in 1860 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It sits on the 120-acre Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area. The climb to the top of the lighthouse offers 360-degree views of northern Palm Beach County to southern Martin County.
The tour takes about 60 minutes, and guests must check in 15 minutes before the tour. The tour will be rescheduled if it rains. Children must be accompanied by an adult and be at least 48 inches tall.
The lighthouse lens is wrapped to protect it during construction of the nearby U.S. 1 bridge. Temporary light is being used to guide mariners.
