Minto to begin construction on Westlake Fieldhouse

Minto Communities USA has announced plans for a new six-acre recreational amenity in Westlake designed to expand community gathering space and provide additional family-oriented recreation opportunities for residents of the rapidly growing master-planned community.

The new facility, known as the Westlake Fieldhouse, is expected to begin construction in fall 2026, with completion anticipated in fall 2027.

According to Minto, the project will serve as a neighborhood-focused recreation space intended for everyday use, casual play and community events.

The centerpiece of the development will be a 4,200-square-foot multi-purpose building, including approximately 2,650 square feet of air-conditioned indoor space.

Plans call for flexible event areas available for resident gatherings such as birthday parties and small celebrations, along with a coffee bar, office space, restrooms and covered outdoor seating areas.

Additional amenities are expected to include a covered toddler play area, outdoor play features, shaded gathering areas and multi-use sports fields intended for open recreational use.

The project will also include a new dog park that will relocate from the existing Westlake Adventure Park and feature expanded shade and seating.

“At Westlake, we are regularly looking for ways to enhance the lifestyle experience and add value for our residents,” says Steve Svopa, president of operations for Minto Communities USA. “The Westlake Fieldhouse will provide another welcoming space where neighbors can gather and connect, families can play and the community can continue to grow together.”

Officials said the Fieldhouse is intended to complement the community’s existing Adventure Park by creating a more relaxed and walkable recreational environment focused on informal play and neighborhood interaction.

Westlake Adventure Park, a $22 million amenity complex, currently includes a resort-style lagoon pool, tower slide, splash pad, adult lap pool, BMX pump park, playgrounds, basketball courts, bocce courts, event lawns, a concert pavilion, food truck court and a community gathering space known as The Lodge.

Developed by Minto Communities USA, Westlake was conceived as a “new downtown” for central Palm Beach County and continues to rank among the region’s fastest-growing residential communities.

The city is approved for more than 6,000 homes and over 2 million square feet of commercial development. Housing options within the community include single-family homes, estate homes and townhomes, with pricing beginning in the $300,000s.

Minto Communities USA lists the community’s sales center at 16610 Town Center Parkway North, located off Seminole Pratt Whitney Road between Southern Boulevard and Northlake Boulevard.
