Mounts Botanical Garden hosts 'Classic Rides & Cool Vibes' for Father's Day

Families looking for a memorable way to celebrate Father's Day can head to Mounts Botanical Garden on Sunday for a day filled with classic automobiles, live entertainment and outdoor fun.

The Garden's Father's Day event, "Classic Rides & Cool Vibes," will combine a showcase of classic cars with a Great Lawn cookout, live music, lawn games and family-friendly activities throughout the 20-acre grounds.

"Father's Day is about spending quality time together, and the Garden is the perfect setting for that," says James May, executive director of Mounts Botanical Garden. "We've created this day to give families a different way to celebrate — where dads can enjoy beautiful cars, great food, and the brightness of the Garden, all surrounded by the people who love them most."

The centerpiece of the event is a curated display of vintage automobiles presented by Russ G Classic Car Shows. The showcase, which runs until 3 p.m., will feature vehicles spanning multiple decades of automotive history and craftsmanship.

Visitors can also enjoy a cookout on the Great Lawn, where food, ice cream, coffee and pastries will be available for purchase. Live DJ entertainment will be featured in both the car show area and on the Great Lawn, along with a live band performance.

Children can participate in lawn games and enjoy sweet treats from the ice cream booth, while families are encouraged to bring blankets and relax throughout the afternoon amid the Garden's lush surroundings.

Admission is free for fathers with the purchase of another ticket. Mounts members and children younger than 6 receive free admission. General admission is $20 for adults, $18 for seniors, college students and military personnel with valid identification, and $13 for children ages 6 to 17.

Guests will also have access to free on-site parking, picnic tables and shaded seating areas located throughout the Garden.

Mounts Botanical Garden, located at 531 N. Military Trail in West Palm Beach, is Palm Beach County's oldest and largest botanical garden. The 20-acre property features 25 unique garden areas and more than 7,000 species of tropical and subtropical plants, including Florida natives, palms, roses, bromeliads, cacti, herbs and tropical fruit trees.
