Mounts Botanical Garden to host Winter Plant Sale & Festival

Mounts Botanical Garden welcomes plant lovers to its Winter Plant Sale & Festival on Feb. 14 and 15, offering a weekend of shopping, learning and outdoor activities.

The annual festival takes place at Mounts Botanical Garden, 531 North Military Trail, between Southern Boulevard and Belvedere Road. Festival hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, with early admission at 8 a.m. for Mounts members, and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.

Admission is free for Mounts members and children under 6, $20 for adults, $18 for seniors age 65 and older, college students and military with ID. Children ages 6 to 17 are $13. Annual memberships, which include free daytime admission, begin at $60.

The two-day festival features a wide selection of rare and exotic plants, including orchids, succulents, cactus, bonsai, butterfly and native plants, fruit trees, shrubs, herbs, ornamentals and tropical trees. Garden accessories, baskets and fine crafts are also available for purchase.

Visitors have the opportunity to meet expert growers and artisan vendors, learn about South Florida’s unique plant culture and attend educational presentations led by industry professionals. Additional highlights include family-friendly activities such as arts and crafts, games, live music, food vendors and Garden’s Gift Shop and Nursery shopping.

Mounts Botanical Garden is Palm Beach County’s oldest and largest botanical garden, encompassing 20 acres and featuring more than 7,000 species of tropical and subtropical plants across 25 themed garden areas. The garden is part of the Palm Beach County Cooperative Extension Department, in partnership with the University of Florida and the nonprofit Friends of the Mounts Botanical Garden.
