When Dr. Brittany Perez opened the doors to AlignLife of Wellington at the end of July, she wasn’t just launching a chiropractic clinic — she was creating a space rooted in education, empowerment and proactive health. Just months in, the practice is gaining momentum, fueled by a clear mission and a hands-on, community-centered approach.

“I was ready to take the plunge and do something bigger,” Perez says. “I wanted to expand my purpose of helping families and really give people the tools to take control of their health.”

After working as an associate in several chiropractic clinics, Perez found AlignLife, a national brand whose philosophy aligns with hers. Its emphasis on whole-family care, patient education and long-term wellness resonated.

“What really drew me in was the mission and vision,” she says. “Education is a huge part of AlignLife, and that allows us to do workshops, lectures and really connect with the community beyond just appointments.”

That environment is welcoming and personalized. Every patient begins with a comprehensive visit that includes a detailed consultation, posture and balance assessments, 3D foot scans, digital X-rays, body composition analysis, and a review of metabolic health. Perez is certified in functional nutrition, allowing her to integrate bloodwork-based supplementation into individualized care plans.

“We really look at what’s going on structurally and metabolically,” she says. “It’s not one size fits all. Every patient gets a plan tailored to their goals.”

Those goals vary widely — from athletes looking to optimize performance to parents bringing in children for preventive care.

Perez says families are a cornerstone of her practice. “I love working with kids. They’re funny, they love getting adjusted, and they learn by watching their parents. When you get the whole family involved, that’s where real change happens.”

Her philosophy centers on prevention rather than reaction. “We have it backwards sometimes,” Perez says. “We try to undo too much damage instead of doing the right things before problems start.”

Patients, she says, begin to feel the difference quickly, and that realization is one of the most rewarding parts of the job. “They’ll tell me, ‘I can’t believe how much better I feel,’ and I say, ‘I can,’” she says with a smile. “Every adjustment, every better decision, it all adds up.”

Though running the clinic as a one-woman operation comes with surprises, Perez says she’s enjoying it even more than she expected. “It’s a big undertaking, but it’s exciting,” she says. “Watching patients thrive, seeing referrals come in from family and friends, that’s incredibly fulfilling.”

Her commitment to wellness extends beyond the clinic. This month AlignLife of Wellington launched a children’s book drive benefiting the Palm Beach County Literacy Coalition. Instead of a traditional toy drive, Perez opted for something that nurtures imagination and learning.

“Books are important,” she says. “We have to grow our minds too.” The clinic’s lobby features a Christmas tree decorated with children’s books in place of ornaments — many donated by patients.

Perez plans to expand her educational outreach through condition-focused workshops tied to seasonal health concerns. After December’s holiday stress workshop, topics will include allergies and other common issues for families.

“I’m excited to get more involved in the Wellington community,” Perez says. “My goal is to spread the chiropractic message and contribute to the overall health and wellness of this town.”

With its emphasis on prevention, education and personalized care, AlignLife of Wellington is becoming a hub for community wellness behind a leader who believes that lasting health starts with understanding, consistency and connection.
