Palm Beach Orthopaedic Institute marked the opening of its newest urgent care center on Southern Boulevard. The West Palm Beach location expands access to orthopedic services for residents in southern Palm Beach County, offering onsite X-rays, MRIs, and physical therapy in one setting.
The facility is staffed by the practice’s team of 18 orthopedic partners and features two of its newest physicians.

Dr. John Hinson has more than a decade of experience treating complex shoulder and elbow conditions and specializes in arthroscopic procedures and shoulder replacements.
Dr. Hinson earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Florida State University and completed medical school, orthopaedic residency, and a specialized shoulder and elbow fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Jonathan Shaw, a fellowship-trained joint replacement surgeon, performs minimally invasive hip and knee replacements and has expertise in robotic-assisted and revision procedures.
Dr. Shaw has an extensive background including arthroplasty training from Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush and active memberships of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons.
The urgent care center is equipped to treat a broad range of musculoskeletal injuries and conditions, including arthritis, tendon injuries, ligament sprains, fractures, sports injuries, joint instability, muscle strains, and acute or chronic joint pain.
Designed to provide faster access to specialized orthopedic care, the urgent care center serves patients with injuries that require immediate evaluation but do not necessarily require an emergency room visit. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on weekends.
Palm Beach Orthopaedic Institute’s Southern Boulevard location is at 7701 Southern Blvd., Suite 100, West Palm Beach. More information about services and physicians is available at pboi.com. Appointments can be scheduled by texting (561) 788-7031 or calling (561) 694-7776.
