PJ Library and the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County will host “Light Up the 4th Night of Chanukah” on Wednesday, Dec. 17, featuring crafts, dancing, and a community menorah lighting.
The outdoor event will begin at 5 p.m. at Boca Center, 5150 Town Center Circle with hands-on Chanukah crafts for children and families, followed by a PJ Library storytime at 6 p.m.
At 6:15 p.m., local rabbis from across the community will lead a public menorah lighting. A live Chanukah concert will follow, featuring Rabbi David Paskin—known widely as the “Rock N’ Roll Rabbi”—whose interactive performances blend contemporary music with traditional themes.
Rabbi Paskin, a returning favorite at the event, is known for engaging audiences of all ages through participatory songs and storytelling that highlight the messages of Chanukah. His performance is scheduled to begin immediately after the candle lighting.
“This event has become a meaningful tradition for so many families,” says Elana Ostroff, senior director of family engagement for the Jewish Federation of South Palm Beach County. “There is something truly special about seeing our community come together to welcome the lights of Chanukah.”
PJ Library, a national program that provides Jewish-themed books to families with young children, partners locally with the Jewish Federation to offer year-round programming focused on literacy, culture and community engagement.
