West Palm Beach, in partnership with Florida Power & Light, is presenting Holiday in Paradise downtown, featuring the seasonal duo of Sandi, a 700-ton sand tree, and Ferris.
Sandi will shine through Dec. 31 with synchronized light shows and music nightly. New Year’s Eve will see an extended light show.
New this year is a 50-ton sandbox, Paradise Island, with holiday- and pirate-themed activities.
Ferris, returning for its second year, offers rides for $5 every night and one day only, Dec. 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Riders must be at least 3 years old and 38 inches tall.
“We love celebrating the holidays in West Palm Beach,” Mayor Keith A. James says. “Our unique and tropical celebration has become a well-loved tradition for locals and visitors, as well as attracting international attention and recognition.”
Sandi, Ferris and Paradise Island are at Waterfront Commons, 100 N. Clematis St. Music and light shows run from 6 to 10 p.m.
