Schoolhouse Children's Museum hosts Summer Kick-off Party

To celebrate the end of the school year and the start of summer, the Schoolhouse Children's Museum is inviting families to join free festivities at its Summer Kick-off Party on Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the museum courtyard.

This energy-filled morning will feature interactive fun with Bubble Time parties, hands-on sensory bins, a creative craft station, classic lawn games and treats from Kona Ice. Open to everyone, most activities are designed for children 10 and under.

"This event is all about bringing families together to celebrate the start of summer in a fun, engaging way, right here in Downtown Boynton Beach," said Miriam Naranjo, Executive Director of the Schoolhouse Children's Museum. "We love providing children a chance to play, create and make memories, especially as we gear up for a summer full of fun."

The event is free to attend. Museum admission is not included; however, guests who mention MOSAIC will receive $3 off each museum admission during the event and throughout the month of May. The museum is one of dozens of organizations participating in the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County's popular MOSAIC (Month of Shows, Art, Ideas & Culture) initiative.

The Schoolhouse Children's Museum, located at 129 E. Ocean Avenue in Boynton Beach, features two floors of interactive exhibits that offer young children hours of exploration, education, fun and play. In addition to its exhibits, the museum offers weekly programming.

Housed in a historic building originally constructed in 1913 as one of Boynton Beach's first schools, the museum opened in 2001 and continues to serve as a hub for family learning and fun. It is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
