The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is bringing back Sunset Strolls, beginning Thursday, May 22.
As the sun dips below the horizon, visitors are invited to explore the gardens in a new light while enjoying an immersive evening of live performances, cultural delights and culinary offerings.
Taiko Drumming by Fushu Daiko
Back by popular demand, the electrifying Fushu Daiko ensemble will perform traditional Taiko drumming during every Sunset Stroll. The powerful rhythms and dynamic choreography offer a pulse-pounding look into this centuries-old Japanese art form.
Terrace Performance Times:
Live Video Game & Anime Music by 8 Bit Wave – May 22
South Florida-based ensemble 8 Bit Wave will perform high-energy video game and anime music live in Morikami’s theater, synchronized with gameplay footage and anime visuals. Blending jazz, rock, classical, and pop influences, the group features professional musicians playing everything from flute and clarinet to guitar, trumpet, and drums.

In addition to the performances, guests can savor Japanese-inspired cuisine and explore a rotating lineup of vendors offering unique gifts, crafts and cultural demonstrations.
Visitors can also try their luck by entering the Sunset Stroll Raffle for a chance to win a gift bag valued at over $95, including a dual Morikami Museum membership and exclusive Morikami merchandise.
