“The Humans” centers on the Blake family, gathering in a New York City apartment for Thanksgiving dinner. As the evening unfolds, layers of tension, humor and vulnerability emerge, painting a raw and authentic portrait of familial relationships. Karam’s skillful writing captures the complexities of modern life and addresses themes such as financial strain, aging, illness and unspoken anxieties.
