Ukrainian Cultural Fest to celebrate heritage and unity in West Palm Beach

Ukrainian music, dance, food and art will fill the West Palm Beach waterfront as the community gathers to celebrate culture, friendship and unity at the free Ukrainian Cultural Fest on Saturday, Aug. 22, from 4 to 9 p.m. at the Great Lawn, 100 N. Clematis St. The event coincides with the 35th anniversary of Ukraine’s independence, which is observed Aug. 24.

Organized by the Ukrainian Association of Florida, the family-friendly festival will showcase live music, dances, food, arts and crafts, and workshops.

Scheduled performers include Alla Fesay, a soprano who has performed with the National Opera of Ukraine and Welsh National Opera, and Ukrainian Dancers of Miami.

The celebration offers Ukrainian families an opportunity to share their traditions with the broader South Florida community. The message of friendship and unity carries added significance amid Ukraine’s four-year war against Russian invaders.

Founded in 2022, the Ukrainian Association of Florida is a nonprofit organization that promotes Ukrainian culture, raises awareness about the war, and supports humanitarian and social projects.

Proceeds from the festival will help the organization present more cultural events and support social projects benefiting Ukrainian orphans.
