The Village of Wellington will officially open its new Aquatics Center on Saturday, Jan. 3, inviting residents to a grand-opening celebration featuring demonstrations and family activities. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. inside Village Park at 3410 120th Avenue South, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8 a.m.
The new facility offers a wide array of features, including Florida’s first Ninja Cross retractable obstacle course, a full-size Olympic swimming pool, a zero-depth entry recreation pool, shaded cabanas, a play structure, locker rooms, a multi-purpose room, and a concession stand.

Throughout the morning, visitors can watch exhibitions from Wellington’s dive and water polo teams, participate in sample water aerobics classes, and observe water safety demonstrations conducted by village lifeguards. DJ Mark will provide music and games, and a Ninja Cross demonstration will showcase the facility’s signature new attraction.
To mark the grand opening, Wellington is offering free admission all day. Guests will also receive a free food ticket, valid from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and a free raffle ticket for a chance to win swim passes and lesson packages. Raffle winners must be present to claim their prizes.
