Minto Communities has plans for an enclave of town homes priced in the mid-$300,000 range in its primary Westlake community.
The Terraces will showcase three floor plans from Minto’s new Courtyard collection. Sales are expected to commence this month, and four model homes under construction are scheduled to open in late spring. Located near the Westlake Fitness Trail, some of the 109 town homes in Phase 1 will offer scenic views of the lake.
Minto President Mike Belmont announced the Welcome Heroes program offering a 3% purchase discount for public servants, including active-duty military, police officers, firefighters, teachers and health care professionals.
“With home prices rising due to increased construction costs and inflationary pressures, Minto is committed to offering housing solutions that meet the financial needs of average working families,” Belmont says. “With The Terraces, I do not think you’ll find this kind of value or quality for new construction in a lifestyle community like Westlake anywhere else in South Florida.”
The homes offer three or four bedrooms, come in two distinctive architectural styles, and span 1,536 to 1,786 square feet. Each home has a two-car garage and a covered lanai at the entry.
Residents have access to the amenities at the Westlake Adventure Park. Valued at $22 million, the park features a resort-style lagoon pool with a tower slide, splash pad, poolside concessions and an adult-only lap pool. The park also offers a multipurpose building with an event lawn, a covered concert pavilion, a food truck court and picnic area, a BMX pump park, bocce ball courts, a playground, a dog park, and lighted basketball courts.
Westlake has received approval for 4,500 residences and more than 2 million square feet of commercial development. Minto sold its 2,000th home in the community in December. Publix and other retail establishments are open, with more shops and restaurants expected to open later this year.
