The first commercial warehouse space opening in Westlake, James Business Park, broke ground Aug. 1.
The park will consist of over 10,000 square feet of flex space and 135,500 square feet of warehouse space. Jamlyn Supply, an e-commerce business specializing in pet and garden supplies, will move its headquarters there from West Palm Beach.
“We are very proud to be the first company to deliver a Class 1 industrial and flex office project to the city of Westlake,” Jamlyn Supply founder Ben Tristano says.
The 9-acre site is at 17035 Persimmon Blvd., just west of Seminole Pratt Whitney Road. Jamlyn Supply plans to move in spring 2024 and to open a retail location, Aubrey’s Pet Supply.
Westlake is one of Palm Beach County’s newest towns. It had only five registered voters when its residents elected to incorporate the old citrus grove known as Callery-Judge Grove as the county’s 39th municipality in 2016.
Three years before the town was incorporated, Minto Communities purchased nearly 4,000 acres of what was once the Seminole Improvement District for $51 million.
