The Cultural Council for Palm Beach County will conclude its 2025-26 season of solo exhibitions with “Metamorphosis,” an installation by Delray Beach-based mixed-media artist Dominique Denis that explores memory, identity and the spaces people call home.
The exhibition will be on view from July 7 through Aug. 21 in the Cultural Council’s Gayle and Paul Gross Gallery
at its headquarters in downtown Lake Worth Beach.
Drawing upon her background in architecture, urban planning and public art, Denis creates immersive environments that blur the boundaries between art and architecture. Her latest body of work incorporates fabric, hand-built ceramic sculptures, wood and yarn to examines themes of nostalgia, transformation and belonging.
Through research-driven artistic practice, Denis investigates how collective memories become embedded within the built environment and how physical spaces shape personal and cultural identity. Her work reimagines familiar domestic forms while inviting viewers to consider the relationship between past and present, interior and exterior, and the evolving nature of home.

"Dominique’s installation will transform the solo gallery into an experiential space for the viewer by combining her ceramic works with a built environment,” says Jessica Ransom, the director of artist services for the Cultural Council for Palm Beach County.
Denis holds degrees in architecture and urban planning and brings more than two decades of professional experience in design, planning and public art curation to her art. Her multidisciplinary approach reflects a deep interest in how people interact with spaces and how those spaces influence memory and community.
The exhibition is free and open to the public at the Cultural Council's headquarters, located at 601 Lake Ave. in Lake Worth Beach.
