Located at 12800 Hagen Ranch Road just west of Boynton Beach, Green Cay Nature Center is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and provides family-friendly programs focused on environmental awareness, wildlife conservation and outdoor recreation.

The center sits on land that was once heavily altered for agricultural use. Through a large-scale wetland restoration project, Palm Beach County again made the site a thriving natural habitat. Opened to the public in 2004, the center serves as both a wildlife refuge and a living classroom.

A highlight of the center is its elevated boardwalk, which winds through the restored wetlands and offers the chance to observe native birds, reptiles and other wildlife without disturbing the ecosystem.
