Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens hosts its next Sunset Stroll on June 18, offering an evening of Japanese culture, live performances and culinary experiences throughout the museum’s scenic grounds in Delray Beach.
Scheduled from 5:30 to 8 p.m., the event invites visitors to explore the museum and gardens during extended evening hours while enjoying interactive demonstrations and food inspired by Japanese traditions.

One of the featured attractions will be a live bento box demonstration led by Rikiya Kawano. Guests will observe step-by-step techniques for creating character-inspired bento designs using simple ingredients while learning about the connection between Japanese cuisine, creativity and cultural expression. The presentation will also include an interactive question-and-answer session.

Live entertainment throughout the evening will include performances by Fushu Daiko, South Florida’s premier Japanese taiko drumming ensemble, which is celebrating more than 35 years of performances. The group’s high-energy drumming presentations will take place on the museum terrace.
Guests will also be able to enjoy koto performances by Emiko Koto in the Sakai Room.
Additional offerings during the event will include Asian-inspired cuisine and refreshments from Cornell Cafe, Niigata Sake, Kaminari Ramen and Akiko-ya Japanese Sweets, featuring traditional Japanese confections and specialty foods.
Admission is $5 for museum members, with free admission for children 17 and younger. General admission is $12 for adults, $7 for children ages 6 to 17 and free for children 5 and younger.
Organizers noted that space is limited and tickets will not be sold at the door. The event will take place rain or shine.
An additional Sunset Stroll event is scheduled for Sept. 17.

The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens is located at 4000 Morikami Park Road in Delray Beach.
