Riverbend Park offers Butterfly Gardens, Night Hikes and Life of Snakes in July

Spanning more than 640 acres, Riverbend Park is offering a variety of outdoor programs this July, inviting visitors to discover Florida's native wildlife through hands-on activities, guided hikes and family-friendly adventures.
Flutter & Flora: Creating Your Own Native Butterfly Garden
Wednesday, July 8, 3:30-4:15 p.m.; ages 6 and up; free
Hosted at the Tequesta Branch Library, this interactive program teaches participants how to create butterfly-friendly gardens using native Florida plants while supporting pollinators and other wildlife. Registration is required through the Tequesta Branch Library.
The Secret Life of Snakes
Thursday, July 16, 3 p.m.; all ages; $5
Celebrate World Snake Day by meeting live snake ambassadors and discovering the important role snakes play in Florida's ecosystems. Participants will also learn the differences between venomous and nonvenomous native species.
Archery 101
Saturday, July 18, 9:30 a.m.; ages 8 and up; $10
Learn the fundamentals of archery, including proper safety techniques and equipment use, before putting your new skills to the test on the range. All equipment is provided.
Moth Night Hike
Friday, July 24, 7:30 p.m.; ages 8 and up; $5
Explore the fascinating world of nocturnal insects during a guided evening hike. Participants will use light traps to observe a variety of moths while learning about their unique behaviors and the important role they play in Florida's ecosystems.
Located at 9060 Indiantown Road in Jupiter, Riverbend Park is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department and offers year-round opportunities outdoor adventure and environmental education.
Advance registration is needed for most programs and can be completed online at discover.pbc.gov under "Online Services" or go to the Nature Center Hub and click on Riverbend Park.
