The Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens will host its annual A Taste of Asia: A Culinary and Cultural Experience on Saturday, March 8, from 6:30 to 11 p.m.
Attendees will receive a culinary passport to sample Asian-inspired dishes crafted by some of South Florida’s most celebrated restaurants. Winebow Spirits and Niigata Sake Selections will provide a curated selection of fine wines, sakes and artisanal cocktails to enhance the tasting experience.
The entertainment includes a taiko drumming performance by Fushu Daiko and DJ Mike Locke spinning J-pop and dance hits. Kei’s Smile Factory will demonstrate traditional Japanese calligraphy, and a pop-up art gallery will feature “Ultra Mod” mixed media works by Sean Danconia.

A live auction will offer items such as a ride on a Goodyear blimp, jewelry, art and luxury hotel stays. Proceeds from the auction will support the Morikami’s education initiatives, exhibitions, emotional well-being programs and expansion.
