Some of Palm Beach County’s top restaurants will come together for food and philanthropy at the eighth annual Taste of Recovery from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, at the American German Club, 5111 Lantana Road in Lake Worth.

More than 900 people attended last year’s event.

Taste of Recovery benefits The Crossroads Club, a Delray Beach nonprofit that has served the community for more than 40 years. The organization provides a free haven for people who have suffered from their own or others’ use of addictive substances.

“Taste of Recovery is a fantastic evening of delicious food from our finest area restaurants, all while supporting an important cause: helping to fight addiction,” says Dylan Morgan, the executive director of The Crossroads Club.

He and Jocelyn Morgan are co-chairing the event.

The participating restaurants are AJ’s American Grille, Art Basil, Casa D’Angelo, City Oyster & Sushi Bar, Cluck Face Nashville Hot Chicken, Elisabetta’s Ristorante, Hawkers, Louie Bossi’s Ristorante, Pizza Rustica, Rocco’s Tacos and Von Leeuwen Ice Cream.

Attendees will vote for the People’s Choice Award for Best Bite, worth $1,500. A panel of food writers will select the Critics’ Choice winners.

Sponsors include Sober Founders, Razorback A/C and Electric, Sober Living of Delray Beach, Robinson and Casey, Sail Away Media, Surplus Giants, Morgan Fidelity Associates and Trulegacy Life.
