Haunted hallways, hayrides and costumed characters will take over Village Park during Wellington’s Fall Festival on Saturday, Oct. 17.
The annual celebration runs from 3 to 10 p.m. at the park at 11700 Pierson Road.
Festival attractions include costume and pie-eating contests, trick-or-treating, bounce houses, face painting, laser tag, a petting zoo, games, stage entertainment, DJ music and dancing, plus food trucks and other vendors. Attendees should bring their own bags for trick-or-treating.
Braver guests can venture into the Haunted Hallways, featuring loud noises, fog, low lighting, realistic props and other frightening effects. It is not recommended for children younger than 10.
A mobile golf simulator offers closest-to-the-pin and longest-drive challenges along with lessons and swing analyses.
Admission is free, but bracelets are required for festival activities. Bracelets for children cost $7 through Oct. 16 and $10 the day of the event. Adult bracelets are $5, and children 2 and younger are free.
A quiet area inside the Village Park gym provides a place to step away from the activity. Complimentary sensory bags also are available.
On-site parking is limited. Free shuttles begin running at 2:30 p.m. from the Palm Tran bus stop near Macy’s at The Mall at Wellington Green.
