Royal Palm Beach taco shop PapiChulo has won the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs’ 2023 Unsolicited Landscape Design Award for District X in the small-business category.

The federation announced the award April 27 at its District X spring meeting, and district award chairman Stormi Bivin and Wellington Garden Club President Carol Ralph presented PapiChulo the award.

The Wellington Garden Club nominated PapiChulo for the award for a well-designed and -maintained landscape. Under the unsolicited program, nominees do not apply for the award themselves.

PapiChulo features Mexican street food, fresh juices, tequila and cocktails with a laid-back beach bar vibe. The winning restaurant is at 1005 N. State Road 7, just south of Okeechobee Boulevard in the Regal Cinemas shopping center.

Candidates for FFGC award are submitted each fall by garden club members, especially graduates of the National Garden Clubs Landscape Design School. Judges who have completed the NGC Landscape Design School evaluate the nominees.
