The brooms and bikes are back. On Saturday, Oct. 25, Downtown Delray Beach will once again transform into a cauldron of cackles, costumes, and community spirit as the 14th Annual Witches of Delray Beach Bike Ride swoops through town. The event, hosted by Achievement Centers for Children & Families, has become one of the area’s most whimsical and beloved traditions, blending festive fun with community involvement.

At 8:30 a.m., 300 witches will take off from City Hall and parade down Atlantic Avenue and Pineapple Grove, guided by the Delray Beach Police Department. The two-mile route, expanded this year, gives riders more room to take flight before gathering for a post-ride celebration featuring music, mingling, and awards. Tickets are $100 to participate.

The Witches Ride raises vital funds for the Achievement Centers for Children & Families, a nonprofit that has supported under-resourced children and families in Delray Beach. The organization provides after-school programs, early learning, summer camps, and family support services, ensuring children have the tools they need to succeed.

“Fourteen years in, the Witches Ride is more than just a tradition — it’s a celebration of community and creativity,” said Stephanie Seibel, CEO of the Achievement Centers. “Each year, we’re blown away by the enthusiasm and generosity that fills the streets. It’s a beautiful reminder of what’s possible when people come together for a cause that truly matters.”

For participants and spectators alike, the event is as much about connection as it is about costumes. Families line the streets to cheer, neighbors come together in laughter, and friends embrace the spirit of the season while helping support children who need it most.
