The West Palm Beach GreenMarket concludes a yearlong culinary competition April 12 at 10:30 a.m. with the Master Chef Showcase Finale.

Throughout the GreenMarket season, local chefs have showcased their culinary talents in weekly competitions testing their creativity, skill and ability to work under pressure. The preliminary rounds covered categories ranging from farm-to-table dishes and international flavors to seafood specials and gourmet desserts.

The winners of each category have advanced to the final showdown to determine who will be crowned the 2025 GreenMarket Master Chef. The finalists are Peter Bartalini, Joey Leuze, Brett Portier, Rasheed Shihada and Boris Seymore.

The chefs will each prepare a signature dish that represents their personal culinary style, to be judged by renowned chefs, food critics and culinary industry experts.

To raise the stakes, the finale will feature a mystery box challenge, a fan-favorite element of competitive cooking. The chefs won’t know their ingredients until the challenge begins. They must think on their feet, craft an innovative dish and execute it flawlessly with limited time. Their ability to adapt, create and plate under pressure will determine who takes the Master Chef title.

Spectators to the edge-of-your-seat action will gain insights into the chefs’ techniques, use of ingredients and kitchen secrets. Many of the competing chefs emphasize locally sourced, sustainable ingredients, celebrating the farm-fresh produce and artisanal goods available at the GreenMarket.
