As the holiday season approaches, Okeeheelee Park is once again glowing with the return of the Lights 4 Hope Drive-Through Light Show, now entering its eighth year. The annual event — produced by the local nonprofit Lights 4 Hope — raises funds to support families in Palm Beach County facing a child’s terminal illness or life-altering medical challenges. This year’s show kicks off with Opening Weekend from Nov. 21–23, offering visitors the first chance to experience more than two miles of illuminated displays while supporting a local cause.
The illuminated route spans more than two miles and features themed sections, animated displays, and community-inspired designs. Visitors can purchase tickets in advance or at the gate before driving through at their own pace.
Each section of the display is intentionally crafted. Some themes pay homage to South Florida’s outdoors and wildlife — including a beloved marine-themed area featuring glowing sea turtles. Others highlight classic holiday scenery.
The annual Holiday Light Show is located at the rear of the park near the Micanopy Pavilion, with the ticket booth positioned just past the entrance to Shark Wake Park. Visitors must enter through the west entrance on Eshleman Trail from Forest Hill Boulevard. From there, drivers should continue northbound along Eshleman Trail and follow directional signage leading to the show.
Lights 4 Hope will host a special Bike Night on Dec. 28, allowing up to 300 bicycle riders to pedal through a two-mile holiday light display at Okeeheelee Park. Tickets are presale only and cost $15 per rider.
Participants must bring their own bikes and safety gear; helmets are required for anyone 16 and under. The event is strictly for cyclists only — no walkers, runners, pets, skaters, or other forms of recreation are permitted.
Check-in begins at 5 p.m. in the parking lot west of Shark Wake Park, with riders required to exit the route by 7:30 p.m.before normal traffic resumes at 8 p.m.
