Kintsugi is the Japanese technique of repairing cracked or broken ceramics using gold-colored powder, embracing imperfections and highlighting them as part of an object’s history. The workshop introduces participants to the principles and methods behind this art form, offering insight into its cultural significance and aesthetic philosophy.

The program is held within the tranquil setting of Morikami’s 16-acre Japanese gardens. Designed by landscape architect Hoichi Kurisu, the gardens draw inspiration from historic Japanese garden styles while flowing together into a unified landscape.
