Okeeheelee Nature Center celebrates Earth Day with live animals, guided tours and eco-friendly crafts

Okeeheelee Nature Center celebrates Earth Day with a free community event on Saturday, April 18, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Okeeheelee Park, 7715 Forest Hill Blvd.
Highlights include live animal encounters, guided nature tours, environmental exhibitors and eco-friendly crafts. The event also features raffles benefiting the Friends of Okeeheelee Nature Center, food trucks and face painting.
This year's Earth Day event is sponsored by the Friends of Okeeheelee Nature Center.
The free celebration runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 18 at Okeeheelee Nature Center in Okeeheelee Park. No admission fee is required.

Advance online registration is required through pbcparks.com under the “Register/Pay for Program” section. Walk-in registration is not available for reserved activities.
Participants are required to complete a program participation form prior to each event, and children must be accompanied by an adult. Park officials recommend bringing water, sunscreen and insect repellent.
