The Paris Ballet and Dance will present its annual Spring Performance on May 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, showcasing a diverse program of classical and contemporary works performed by students and guest artists.
The evening will feature the Cinderella Suite alongside a range of performances in ballet, modern, contemporary, neo-classical, tap and jazz. The production will highlight the talents of the school’s students, ages 3 to 18.
Guest artist Mario Mery, a Paris Ballet alumnus and current member of Ballet West II, will appear as the Cinderella Prince, adding a professional dimension to the student-centered production.
New to this year’s program is a special presentation of Five Brahms Waltzes in the Manner of Isadora Duncan, performed by Skylar Brandt, a principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre, and pianist Vladimir Rumyantsev. The piece, choreographed by Sir Frederick Ashton, is presented as part of the Ashton Worldwide 2024–2028 festival and is staged in collaboration with the Ballet Support Foundation.
Artistic Director and founder Jean-Hugues Feray said the performance highlights both the development of the school’s students and the opportunity to present professional-caliber work.
“This performance showcases the incredible talents of Paris Ballet students, who have honed their skills, talents and stage presence while at our school,” Feray said. “It is also a distinct honor to welcome ballet star Skylar Brandt as she performs Frederick Ashton’s Five Brahms Waltzes in celebration of Isadora Duncan, a pioneer of modern contemporary dance.”
Founded in 2009, Paris Ballet and Dance offers training in ballet, jazz, tap and modern dance for students beginning at age 3. Based in Jupiter, the school draws students from across the region, including Vero Beach, Lake Worth Beach and Wellington, and also operates Paris Ballet America, a nonprofit program designed to prepare advanced students for professional dance careers.
Tickets for the Spring Performance start at $45 and are available through the Kravis Center box office by calling (561) 832-7469 or visiting kravis.org.
