Two lovable rescue animals are searching for forever homes after being named Pets of the Week by Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.
Millie, a 6-year-old female hound mix, and Linus, a 6-year-old male domestic shorthair cat, are both available for adoption and represent the many animals currently waiting for families through the West Palm Beach-based organization.
Millie's journey to Peggy Adams began earlier this year when she was rescued from a rural county shelter. Since arriving in February, she has received extensive medical care to improve her health and quality of life.
The rescue league provided Millie with spay surgery, heartworm treatment and a dental cleaning. She also underwent surgery to correct cherry eye, a common eyelid condition she had reportedly lived with for several years.
Now fully recovered, Millie is thriving in foster care. Her foster family describes her as a loyal, loving and mellow companion who enjoys spending time with people and socializing with other dogs.
While she currently resides in a foster home, prospective adopters can arrange a meeting through Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League.

Linus, a tuxedo cat with a gentle personality, is also looking for a place to call home. The 6-year-old feline is known for his affectionate nature and appreciation for warm blankets and cozy spaces.
Shelter staff say Linus gets along well with other cats and enjoys interacting with people, making him a potential fit for a variety of households.
Unlike Millie, Linus is currently available to meet at the shelter.
Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, one of South Florida's largest animal welfare organizations, regularly features adoptable pets to help connect animals with families throughout Palm Beach County and beyond.
