Royal Palm Beach resident promoted to COO at HomeSafe

Royal Palm Beach resident Amanda Stone has been promoted from chief program officer to chief operating officer at HomeSafe.
HomeSafe has elevated Amanda Stone from chief program officer to chief operating officer and added lawyer Charles J. Abrams to the board of directors.
CEO Matt Ladika said the organization is excited about bringing together such accomplished professionals to enhance the therapeutic services at HomeSafe’s reimagined facilities.
HomeSafe is a nonprofit organization dedicated to safeguarding at-risk individuals affected by child abuse or domestic violence in Palm Beach County and across South Florida. HomeSafe provides preventive and intervention services with an outcome-focused methodology.
The organization supports more than 15,000 people of all ages each year. It is one of five specialized therapeutic group care facilities in Florida and the only one in Southeast Florida.
Stone has led HomeSafe’s Healthy Beginnings program, which aims to help families flourish and ensure that children and families receive opportunities for future success. Before joining HomeSafe, Stone served as the director of clinical services at Sandy Pines Residential Treatment Center, where she created and oversaw clinical programs and evidence-based treatment approaches.
The Royal Palm Beach resident has a master’s in professional counseling from Liberty University and a bachelor’s in history and interdisciplinary studies from Florida Atlantic University.
Abrams is a real estate shareholder at the West Palm Beach office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig. He represents developers, investors, property owners, landlords, tenants, borrowers and lenders in commercial real estate and secured financing matters.
His expertise involves working with homebuilders on land acquisition and disposition transactions, as well as project development activities. He negotiates intricate development contracts, addresses title complications, and coordinates infrastructure and amenity installation and upkeep.
Abrams earned his legal degree from Florida State University and lives in Boca Raton.
