Runners will gather Sunday, Nov. 1, for the Wellington 5K, 10-Miler and Tower Challenge, an annual event combining fitness, outdoor recreation and charitable giving.
Hosted by the Wellington Runners Club, the event begins at 7 a.m. at Tiger Shark Cove Park, 13800 Greenbriar Blvd., and features three race options to accommodate different fitness levels.
For runners preparing for half-marathons and marathons, the race is an opportunity to test their endurance amid Wellington's scenic outdoor spaces.

The 5K follows a path along Greenbriar Boulevard.
The 10-mile course takes runners through the Wellington Environmental Preserve at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Everglades Habitat along Flying Cow Road. The route incorporates paved pathways, shell-rock roads and boardwalks through the wetland habitat.
The 10-Miler Tower Challenge adds a run up and down the preserve’s five-story observation tower during the 10-mile race.
The event supports the Kids Cancer Foundation and other local charities.
