Now open, Sean Kenney’s Brick Planet: A Magical Journey Made with LEGO Bricks invites visitors to explore ecosystems from around the world through larger-than-life sculptures built from LEGO bricks. The exhibit will remain on view through Sept. 27.

Created by artist Sean Kenney, Brick Planet offers a visually striking and educational experience designed to highlight the diversity and beauty of the planet’s environments. Guests can walk through immersive gallery spaces featuring detailed sculptures, interactive building stations and science-based activities that connect creativity with environmental learning.

“This summer, we’re excited to introduce an exhibit that brings together creativity, curiosity and discovery in a unique way,” says Kurt Allen, CEO of the Cox Science Center. “Brick Planet invites guests of all ages to blend a fun experience with a fresh perspective on what makes our planet unique and beautiful.”
In addition to the new exhibit, visitors can explore the center’s existing attractions, including a 10,000-gallon aquarium, STEAM Cart activities and daily live science shows held in the Cox Amphitheater. The outdoor “Giants of the Ice Age” exhibit along the Fisher Family Science Trail will also remain on display through April 13, 2027.

The exhibit arrives as the science center continues its broader expansion efforts. A capital campaign launched in 2021 is currently underway, with construction that began in May 2024 and is expected to be completed in 2027.
General admission is $26 for adults, $24 for teens ages 13–17 and seniors 60 and older, and $22 for children ages 3–12. Admission is free for children younger than 3 and for members.
