As spring bursts into color, it’s the perfect time to welcome some of nature’s most delicate and beautiful visitors—butterflies—into your own backyard. On Saturday, April 4 at 10:30 a.m., nature lovers are invited to take part in a hands-on Butterfly Gardening program at Daggerwing.
This engaging workshop offers participants everything they need to begin creating their very own butterfly garden. Led by knowledgeable staff, the program explores which native plants are most effective at attracting a wide variety of butterfly species. Attendees will also learn about the important relationship between butterflies and their host plants.
Beyond the classroom, the experience continues with a guided tour of Daggerwing’s butterfly garden, which will be in full spring bloom.
The cost is $5 per participant, and reservations are required.
Tucked inside the 800-acre Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park in Boca Raton, Daggerwing Nature Center at 11435 Park Access Road is a dynamic destination for nature enthusiasts. Operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department, the center offers year-round educational, recreational and conservation programs to promote environmental awareness, outdoor skills and community wellness.
