International Polo Tour unveils final design for Stadium & Cultural Center

The International Polo Tour has unveiled the final exterior architectural design for its IPT Stadium & Cultural Center, a project organizers say will become a destination for polo, sports, entertainment and luxury hospitality.

Developed with the global architecture and design firm Populous, the proposed venue is envisioned as a next-generation arena for polo, concerts, performing arts, other cultural events and international competitions.

IPT Chairman Tareq Salahi, the visionary behind the venue, says the stadium is intended to redefine the spectator experience by bringing fans closer to the action in a climate-controlled arena featuring premium hospitality and entertainment amenities.

“This is far more than the exterior of a new stadium; it is the face of a bold new era for polo,” Salahi says. “We challenged our design team to create something iconic, timeless and unmistakably international. The final design captures the speed of the sport, the elegance of the polo lifestyle, and the excitement of what will become a global gathering place for sports, culture, entertainment and international friendship.”

The stadium would seat more than 10,000 spectators for polo matches, other sporting events and performing arts, with expandable configurations capable of accommodating more than 15,000 people for concerts and other entertainment events.

Plans include climate-controlled suites, private hospitality boxes, restaurants, lounges, nightlife destinations, and advanced digital production technology, including large video boards and immersive audiovisual displays.

In addition to the stadium, the project includes a world-class equestrian center with stabling for 200 horses, advanced equine wellness and training facilities, and educational programming to support visiting teams and athletes.

Organizers say the venue will serve as the permanent home for the International Polo Tour’s expanding schedule, including international matches, IPT Polo Team USA competitions and charitable tournaments. The center is also intended to attract corporate events, international tourism and luxury brand partnerships.

While the exterior design has been finalized, IPT has not announced the naming rights partner for the venue, although Salahi says an agreement with a globally recognized company.

“The world has now seen the building,” Salahi says. “Soon it will know the name.”

IPT aims to open the complex by the end of 2030. Project leaders say the venue is intended to introduce a new style of arena polo featuring nighttime competition under stadium lighting while expanding the sport’s appeal through year-round programming.
