Zootopia will be playing for Double the Fun Movie Night and Food Trucks in the Park at Commons Park in Royal Palm Beach. The family-friendly event takes place March 12. Attendees can grab a bite to eat from one of the many food trucks before settling down to watch the popular Disney movie with friends and family.
Zootopia is an Academy award-winning animated movie starring a rabbit and fox living in a world where animals are anthropomorphic, personified and living in a hierarchy. The protagonist, a rabbit named Officer Judy Hopps, is played by Ginnifer Goodwin. Hopps is from humble beginnings and must prove she is a worthy addition to the team. The red fox, Nick Wilde played by Jason Bateman, is a con artist. The unlikely pair join forces after animals in the city of Zootopia go missing. The film tackles real-life issues through a lens that can be understood by all ages. Pets are welcome, and who better to bring to a movie all about animals?
Other events at Commons Park include an ongoing Concert in the Park series and special events such as an upcoming seafood March 19-20 and a Bike Rodeo on March 26, which is free to attendees and family-friendly. The park includes many features such as a cafe, several amphitheaters, volleyball courts, picnic areas, gazebos and a play area for young children.
Past movies have included Frozen, The Lego Movie and Finding Nemo. Guests are encouraged to bring their own seating. Zootopia starts at 6:30 p.m. at Commons Park located at 13600 Poinciana Blvd in Royal Palm Beach.
